Outing to London
10th August @ 15:00 - 22:30
Meet at 3pm at arrivals / departure hall at London Charing Cross Station.
I’m aware that for a few distance could be an issue. Therefore, this walk which will begin at 3pm at the arrivals / departure hall at London Charing Cross Station covers short distances, but loads of photographic opportunities.
We will leave at the rear of the station walking directly onto the Golden Jubilee Footbridge, (no steps) after taking photographs looking East towards Canary Wharf we will cross the river descending to the South Bank where the Royal Festival stands. We will slowly make our way towards Westminster bridge passing the London eye, and for those that can, Lambeth bridge taking in Lambeth Palace is not much further. On the return we’ll come back along the Golden Jubilee Footbridge where we can see up river looking West. Although be warned this side does not lead directly into Charing Cross station, just go back the way we came.
I have a treat in store for those that are curious. If you would like to enter a time portal of Georgian homes that escaped the blitz, and want to walk 10 minutes from the Royal Festival Hall, I can promise you something very special.
I will also have some interesting print outs detailing a few historical facts for everyone on this walk.
Note. There is a lift from the top of the Golden Jubilee Footbridge down to the Albert Embankment / South Bank. Therefore, getting up and down is not a problem. Seating is everywhere on this walk.
Fingers crossed for good weather and some blue hour photography.
