Photo Walk – Greenwich
Be at London Bridge Station for 11.30 – 11.45. I will arrive at 11.20 to meet and greet. Come rain or shine the trip is going ahead.
From London Bridge we will take a 10-minute walk to London Bridge City Pier and take the Uber City River Service to Greenwich Pier. On arrival at Greenwich, we will have lunch at a pie and mash or jellied eel place that’s been serving for over one hundred years. Or if you prefer, bring sandwiches or visit a good public house of which a good number can be found in Greenwich.
Then onto Greenwich Naval Museum / The White House / Greenwich Park / Greenwich Observatory whichever you prefer. The Museum, The White House and park are all free.
This walk has no steps. The distance walked will be very little.
The sun will set at 16.23 and the tide will be low on our return.
As we pass Canary Wharf you will have opportunities to photograph reflections onto the river from the tall buildings, and once were back at London Bridge City Pier you can take long exposure pictures of the city looking north, Tower bridge, More One, Shard or OXO building.
Equipment suggestion. Tripod, cable release, microfibre cloth, umbrella for wet weather, MacWet gloves, fleece jacket, hat and warm trousers for cold weather. The river can get cold in November.
Regular photo walks will be on the second Monday of the month so keep an eye on the calender for more info.
